In December 2022, Senior Research Scientist Linda Charmaraman, Ph.D., was invited to speak during a summit hosted by Meta on adolescent wellbeing. Charmaraman, director of WCW's Youth, Media & Wellbeing Research Lab, spoke on a panel about supporting teen wellbeing online through innovation. She was joined by Phillippa Diedrichs, Ph.D., from the Center for Appearance Research at UWE Bristol and Instagram’s Director of Product Management for Well-Being Sayed Otaru to discuss the latest research on social media and teen mental wellbeing.
