LaShawanda Lindsay-Dennis, Ph.D., discusses her three-year research project, in which she studied the factors that affect Black women’s performance and participation in STEM. Although other research suggests that external effects like exposure hold these women back, Lindsay-Dennis, found that confidence is a much more impactful factor.
