Ben Berners-Lee is a Research Associate at NIOST. Ben is a social science researcher with experience designing a qualitative study evaluating the equitable implementation of a mental health program.

Ben is passionate about equity in education and has training at the secondary and post-secondary levels in anti-racist, trauma-informed pedagogy. For his Ph.D. dissertation, he designed an ethnographic study of the development and testing of a digital intervention for mental health. This approach integrates healthcare evaluation methods with insights from social justice oriented social science traditions, including decolonial and feminist ethnography. Ben's work at NIOST includes data analysis, synthesis, and reporting as part of NIOST's technical assistance work provided to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education 21st Century Community Learning Center Program.
