 Joan Kaufman joined WCW this past summer as special consultant to the
executive director on global issues. From 1996 to 2001 Joan was the
Ford Foundation’s program officer for reproductive health in China
where she was responsible for formulating the foundation’sreproductive-health programming and then supporting work in the fields of sexuality, reproductive health, and gender throughout China. During the 2002 academic year she was a fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. In addition to her role here at WCW this year, she is a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School in the East Asian legal studies program. |
