A new study found that musical productions in London's West End have a gender problem. Female writers are severly underrepresented, receiving only 16 percent of writing credits for the last decade of West End musicals. Sadly, this problem is observable in the U.S. as well as the U.K. According to a research study by WCW scholars, women face a glass ceiling on the path to theater leadership in non-profit American theater.
