Facebook Doesn’t Have a Woman on its Board. Does That Matter?

An article on Forbes.com addressed the fact that Facebook doesn’t have a woman on its board. Besides the issue of fairness, the article also notes that companies with the “highest representation of women on their top management teams experience better financial performance” than those that didn’t.

The article also referenced a study done at the Wellesley Centers for Women, the Critical Mass Project, which found that at least three women need to be on a corporate board in order for their opinions to be heard.
