A blog post on Education Week discussed the 2013 Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotinal Learning (CASEL) Guide, in which the Open Circle program at the Wellesley Centers for Women (WCW) is listed in as a K-12 SELect Program. The CASEL Guide highlights social and emotional learning (SEL) programs and skills learned from them. The six emerging areas of SEL innovation according to Vander Ark include: professional development, counseling tools, behavior management, measures, early warning systems, and reflection tools.
