No slouches at senior center
Winchester Star The Jenks Center’s “Savvy Seniors” Symposium hosted Rocky Carzo, the former Tuft’s University Athletic Director, as this year’s keynote speaker. The theme this year was approaching retirement with an upbeat attitude. Other speakers included Ruth Harriet Jacobs, Ph.D. from Wellesley Centers for Women and Andrea Lee, a researcher on aging. Jacobs gave advice on coping with aging and led a discussion on how to stay active and make the most of retirement. Ann Smith, administrator at the Winchester Senior’s Association said, “The speakers let seniors know retirement’s not a big void. You have to keep going and stay involved and active.” |
