No-Touch Zone: The Banning of Affection in Public Schools

Many schools have created policies that ban touch in an effort to prevent sexual harassment. This article in the September/October 2002 issue of Massage Magazine investigates the validity of these programs. In this excerpt from the article, Dr. Nan Stein, Center for Research on Women senior research scientist, states:

"It's absurd to outlaw touch in the name of preventing sexual harassment."
