The Westborough School Committee is reviewing its district’s policy for staff behavior, and considering new guidelines to address bullying by teachers. Nancy Mullin, project director of the Project on Teasing and Bullying at the Wellesley Centers for Women, says complaints about bullying by teachers were “testament to the notion that bullying never goes away.” She urges schools to review their anti-bullying policies, and make them comprehensive enough to tackle the problem. “If kids see teachers acting that way, there’s not much incentive for them to change their behavior.”
