Higher education is one of the most promising pathways out of poverty, but government policies have been unsuccessful in making higher education more accessible for low-income women. A study conducted at the Center for Research on Women, part of the Wellesley Centers for Women at Wellesley College, shows that a combination of financial, academic, and peer support are the factors necessary in order for low-income parents to successfully complete their college education.  Read more
