Husband whose wife has Alzheimer’s a model of devotion
Democrat & Chronicle Dr. John Perriello spends every morning with his wife, Ida, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, and uses his training in acupuncture to compliment the other treatments Ida receives. Studies, including one done by the Wellesley Centers for Women, have shown that acupuncture helps Alzheimer’s patients by easing depression, improving blood flow to the brain, and helping with cognitive skills. |
