Two Wellesley women win nearly $8,000 in CAJE grants
The Jewish Advocate The Coalition for the Advancement of Jewish Education has selected Shoshana Simons, director of special projects at Open Circle, a project of the Wellesley Centers for Women, as one of the winners of its 2004-2005 Grants Program. “Working in partnership with cross-denominational Jewish day schools, The Open Circle Program has been adapting its secular curriculum to reflect Jewish ethics, values, and content areas,” states Simons. She adds, “The CAJE grant will allow us to produce a number of supplementary lessons, integrating Jewish ethics into the existing Open Circle Curriculum, as well as to adapt our consulting model to better meet the needs of educators in Jewish day schools.” |
