As Massachusetts officials set out to build a universal system of early education and care for our children, the Massachusetts Capacity Study Research Brief: Characteristics of the Current Early Education and Care Workforce, a report from the Wellesley Centers for Women, advises that whether or not a teacher has a college degree is more indicative of quality than the art, books, and toys that so often catch our eye.
