Researcher to speak about ‘invisible knapsack’ of racial privilege

Peggy McIntosh, senior research scientist and associate director of the Wellesley Centers for Women, was interviewed about her April 14 talk at Ohio University. The talk, part of Ohio University's Diversity Awareness Month, focused on McIntosh's article "White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack," in which McIntosh addresses the issue of the unearned privilege that white people in this society carry, as well as her own experiences with white privilege.
