Lunchtime Seminar: Looking Back to Move Forward: Women's Visions of a Progressive Society

Wellesley, MA- While the political right has benefited from a shared vision that unites its sectors and informs its messages, the progressive movement lacks such a unifying vision. Jean Hardisty, Senior Scholar with the Wellesley Centers for Women, believes that there is visionary treasure in the writings of past theorists, who have laid out beliefs behind a society grounded in social justice. According to Hardisty, we need to read the work of these past thinkers and draw from them the material we need today to unify and rebuild the progressive movement.
