Texas school districts trying to combat teen dating violence

In Texas, schools are using motivated students to help eradicate teen dating violence. According to Nan Stein, a senior researcher at the Wellesley Centers for Women, physical and sexual violence among teens is on the rise. Stein reports that “if what goes on in public doesn’t get sanctioned, kids might think they have permission to proceed with the behavior,” and this is why Texas’ law requiring education on teen violence in schools is so important and groundbreaking.
