Boys and Eating Disorders

Eating disorders typically have been considered a "girl problem." However, as many as one in six people suffering from eating disorders is male. Like girls, boys can develop eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating for a variety of reasons, including pressure from peers and mass media images, depression, and participation in certain sports such as wrestling and running.
