Women on top

A new report finds that having more women on a corporate board is beneficial to a company. Women often bring in new perspectives, ask tough questions, and provide a collaborative leadership style to the boardroom. The benefits of having women on boards are maximized, however, when there are three or more women. Alison Konrad, one of the study’s authors, states, “We find that having three or more women on a board can create a critical mass where women are no longer seen as outsiders and are able to influence the content and process of board discussions more substantially.”
