The seven-year investment represented by the Girls' Initiative has made notable contributions towards (a) building the capacity of local organizations to serve high risk system-involved girls, and (b) implementing broad practices that strengthen gender-responsive programming statewide.

This paper presents a summary of the goals, activities, and key results from the Girls' Initiative Phase II along with potential strategies for building on its accomplishments.
