Skinner Gets the Scoop

, the Wellesley Centers for Women’s writer-in-residence helped the students of the Celentano School in New Haven, CT (grades K-8), create a student newspaper. Pappano recruited high school journalists to help mentor the students grades 6-8 in the school, who in turn help mentor the younger students, grades 2-3 on writing. Pappano directs the 50 students that write for the school newspaper every Tuesday from 3 – 5 p.m. as part of the school’s afterschool program.
