Peggy McIntosh, associate director of the Wellesley Centers for Women, and Victor Lewis presented on privilege systems at the University of Maine on April 19, with the goal of educating and empowering young people to become advocates for social justice. McIntosh discussed white privilege and Lewis discussed male privilege in a presentation called "Beyond Blame, Shame, & Guilt: Thinking Rather Than Feeling about Privilege Systems," then the students were given an opportunity to discuss privileges and disadvantages in their own lives.
