Many Teens Endure Sexual HarassmentEducation Week Students in middle and high school often confuse joking and sexual harassment with each other, according to a recent study by the American Association of University Women (AAUW). This Education Week article cites the research program, Shifting Boundaries, led by Nan Stein, Ed.D., senior researcher at the Wellesley Centers for Women and her colleague Bruce Taylor, Ed.D. The research program looks at sexual harassment in NYC middle schools; it gathers information about sexual environments in schools as well as students’ views of legal and school rules related to harassment.
