Open Circle’s article, “Boston Schools Leverage SEL in Turnaround Efforts,” by Bethany Montgomery, was featured in this month’s SEL SIG Newsletter, published by the American Education Research Association (AERA). This month’s newsletter also included articles on the Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning Act of 2011, social emotional learning in a mathematics classroom, and  how children choose to engage or not engage in learning.
