Kanab Middle School students selected for eSmart CampSouthern Utah News The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is partnering with Dixie State College to launch the first girls STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) camp in Southern Utah, known as eSmart Camp. Forty girls from southern Utah will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of STEM-related activities while attending eSmart Camp. In 1992, AAUW published How Schools Shortchange Girls, which found that girls' achievement dropped during middle school years, particularly in the fields of math and science. Susan McGee Bailey was the principal author of the report. |
