Hate Speech Is Wrong
Valley News (West Lebanon, NH) In this Letter to the Editor, Robert Spottswood refers to a talk Nan Stein gave on bullying as an example of the best way to handle right-wing hate speech. Stein pointed out in her talk that most students identified by peers as bullies stated in interviews, "Nobody told me it was wrong." Just as parents need to tell children that bullying is wrong, citizens need to stand up and speak out against politicians and pundits who express hate. |
