Talking Privilege: Concord Academy honors Dr. King

Peggy McIntosh, Ph.D., associate director of the Wellesley Centers for Women and founder and co-director of the National SEED Project on Inclusive Curriculum, was the keynote speaker at the Concord Academy celebration in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Addressing the issue of privilege, McIntosh encouraged students to consider skin color and discussed her own experiences with "white privilege." McIntosh is the author of White Privilege: Unpacking the invisible knapsack.
