Although Merry High School in Jackson, Tennessee no longer exists since merging with Jackson Central, alumni from the 1960s and 1970s eagerly anticipate the upcoming all-Merry High reunion. Recognizing the legitimacy of the relationship of four women who have remained close since their graduation, writer Kelly South cites Dr. Jean Baker Miller, explaining that women’s “connections can survive through marriages and children, and last longer than fifty years.”
